Sculpturing

Cement Lump

I think I got the cement mixed correctly this time.

My gloves were too loose and, thus, there are wrinkle marks in my cement lump. It shouldn’t really matter, as I am sanding and carving it later.

Now, I just have to wait for it to dry a little more.

It looks like a lump of clay. I’m curious, is this the same kind of cement used for contruction (or maybe grouting tile) or is it some special art / sculpting type cement? Probably without added sand.

I can hardly wait to see what you make with it.

It’s special art cement. There’s no sand or pebbles, which makes it light and fluffy and you have to be careful not to breath any in.
