I made this monochrome rendering to experiment with colour.

Circle Explosion
Posted by Laurel Green on November 25th, 2009 at 5:11 pmYeah, that’s right. I’m totally obsessed.
Part of me wants to draft one of these babies and paint it in real life, but it would take a long time to do and it could, quite possibly, drive me insane.
It would take less time to do one that is only eight colours like this one. I have to get some larger transfer paper to pull in off, though. Or, tape my current transfer paper together. Hmmm…

Posted by Laurel Green on November 20th, 2009 at 8:08 pmI think that I’ve almost got Photoshop figured out. For one thing, I actually bothered to learn how to use the path tool. I used it to make swirlies!
The colours and positions of the swirls will most likey be different in the finished piece. I’ve just got them like this so that they are easier to see.
I must put food in “mah belleh” now.
Eye Construction

Posted by Laurel Green on October 9th, 2009 at 7:22 amI’ve been having pangs of nostalgia lately, so I made some animated .gif’s in 16 amazing colours. (Actually, I didn’t even use all 16. Shhhh… Don’t tell anyone.)
Set this as your background in Windows 3.1 and prepare to have your mind blown!
Or, use this slight variation. It has circles!
When they were choosing the 16 colours, why didn’t they make one of them orange? Was it a hardware issue? 386′s just couldn’t process orange? They had four blues!
I think there should be a way to capitalize numbers for the beginning of sentences. That one sentence looks weird.

I picked up some texture mediums on a trip through the US and this is me testing them out.
By the by, if anyone has a large format scanner they don’t need anymore, I could haul it away for you, maybe?
