NaBloPoMo

With this post, I have officially posted for every day this month and have defeated NaBloPoMo. I’d like to thank all of the wonderful internet people, that I’ve met, for being so awesome. This month has been crazy!

I have definitely learned that I can refrain from being lazy, if I try hard enough. I also tried out a lot of new art concepts this month. It was a very good experience.

Here’s to hoping that I win one of the prizes. I’d really like a Sock Zombie.

The Lump is Taking Shape

Lump is Taking Shape

I’ve started carving the cement lump. It still doesn’t look like much, though and the cement is a bit more crumbly than I’d like, but I still think it will turn out well. See if you can guess what it’s supposed to be.

In other news, I haven’t finished knitting a sweater I started in January and it’s cold again. The only piece I’ve finish for it is the back. It’s probably not going to be finished until next January.

In other, other news, NaBloPoMo is almost over. I wonder if I can hold out till the end.

Snow is FUN

Snow Face

Well, it looks like it’s just about time for me to hibernate.

I’ll just turn this comforter into a cocoon and I’ll be all set.

Don’t worry, I can eat turkey and unwrap gifts in my sleep.

Just funnel some water into my mouth occasionally, please.

I’ll return to you to you at the vernal equinox. Prepare a feast.

Cement Lump

I think I got the cement mixed correctly this time.

My gloves were too loose and, thus, there are wrinkle marks in my cement lump. It shouldn’t really matter, as I am sanding and carving it later.

Now, I just have to wait for it to dry a little more.

Circle Explosion

Circle Flower 3

Yeah, that’s right. I’m totally obsessed.

Part of me wants to draft one of these babies and paint it in real life, but it would take a long time to do and it could, quite possibly, drive me insane.

Stop the Insanity

It would take less time to do one that is only eight colours like this one. I have to get some larger transfer paper to pull in off, though. Or, tape my current transfer paper together. Hmmm…

Circle Addiction

Burst

I’ve always been obsessed with symmetry. Circles are food for this obsession, because, no matter which angle you choose, as long as you slice them straight through the middle, both pieces will always match. Same thing with spheres. The only problem is that both are sort of hard to construct in real life, especially spheres. I would like to try and sculpt some, though.

Gieef Lives

Kill it with Fire

So they’re rebooting Power Rangers.

We used to play “Power Rangers” on the playground at recess in kindergarten. It mostly involved the boys arguing over who got to be the Red Ranger and the girls arguing over who got the Pink Ranger.

And then they introduced the Green Ranger and everyone wanted to be him, because the Dragonzord was AWESOME.

Later on, the Green Ranger became the White Ranger and he wasn’t as cool anymore.

*sniff*

Brontosauruses were Crazy Awesome

Brontosaurus

One day, Brontosaurus, awoke in his 5 billion dollar mansion. He pushed aside the 7 scantily-clad theropods strewn across his bed, dressed himself in his finest diamond filament fabric pants and went for a ride in his hobo-drawn carriage. His was a life of luxury.

Being rich and successful, this sexy sauropod was up to his ankles in dames. (The dames were, of course, part of the genus “fruitadens” and, thus, only reached his ankles by piling many on top of each other. That’s a lot o’ dames.) Sometimes he wondered, though, whether his life was actually worthwhile. Maybe it would be better for society if he contributed something to it, other than good looks and illegitimate children.

He decided, that very day, to become a veterinarian so that he could help save the lives of the many sauropods, theropods and ornithopods that were his buddies (dinosaurs were treated by veterinarians because they were animals). He wouldn’t help diplodocuses, though, because diplodocuses were jerks.

His life-changing decision was rendered completely moot, though, because the next day, a meteorite crashed into the Earth. Tonnes of dust was thrown into the air, partially blocking out the sun and making the Earth cooler. Most of the dinosaurs, being cold-blooded, died. Even Brontosaurus, despite his awesomeness, succumbed to the rapidly decreasing temperature. But all the diplodocuses died too, so it wasn’t so bad.

This was all just fantasy, of course. Brontosauruses never existed.
